A monkey baby had died, and the hysteric mother climbed up and down the trees with it. Every now and then she laid the body out; the grieving family gathered around like at a wake, and one of the young lads rubbed his eyes as if he was crying.
The whole scenario appeared so human that I felt like an intruder, invading their privacy on such a sombre occasion.
(The mutt in the last pictures later tried to get at the body - you can't imagine how furiously he was chased away!)
